Easy Steps to Use A Caravan or Camping Stove While Camping

A caravan stove or a camping stove is one of the basic must-haves when heading outdoors. You can use it not only for cooking food and boiling water, but also for re-heating meals that you packed for a day trip. A camping stove is portable and very convenient to use. If you want to save your RV gas supply, then it’s the perfect alternative. Caravan stoves are the best option if you’re looking for a set and forget model – this meaning you simply install the stove in your caravan and it’s ready to use on every trip!

How do you set up a camping stove? Of course, the best way is to follow the manufacturer’s instructional manual that comes with your purchase. The steps vary depending on the type and the brand. But if you have a portable butane gas stove, you can simply follow these easy steps:

1. Assemble the stove.

Some butane camping stoves are ready to be used outside the box with very minimum assembly requirements. Whichever model or type you have, make sure that every piece and accessory is in its proper place before using the stove

2. Attach the gas cartridge to the stove.

The good thing about butane stove is that it doesn't have to be connected with a gas tank. All you have to do is to buy a butane gas cartridge and insert it inside the stove. Just double-check if the gas canister has correctly slotted in place before turning the stove on.

3. Turn on the stove.

This stove turns on by pressing the 'lock' lever down, which slots the canister into place, and then turning the knob to the left. You will hear a click before it lights. If it doesn't light on the first try, just continue turning the ignition carefully. Then, adjust the fire as desired.

Some safety reminders:

·        Always place the stove on top of a flat and even surface.

·        Turn the knob to the 'off' position and make sure to unlock the lever by lifting it up.

·        Allow the stove to cool down before removing the gas cartridge.

·        Always check the stove for damage before using it.

·        Never cook inside the tent.
